Sophie's paragraph

Tibet has been fighting for their independence for more than 20 years now, and China has been fighting against their independence movement all the while. Apparently, their techniques have not been effective, so China used physical force to show that they believe that they are stronger, better, and more powerful. For example, the Chinese security force has surrounded itself around Tibet, to stop the Tibetan protesters. The Dali Lama says, “China has brought untold suffering and destruction.”(Gyaltesan) Hundreds and thousands of Tibetans have died, just by expressing how they feel. The Dali Lama explains how that even today the Tibetans live in fear because being themselves and believing in their religion is dangerous and could lead to their death. The worst part is, the Chinese government thinks that the Dali Lama is lying. How can one lie about thousands of deaths going on? Fortunately, the Dali Lama plans to stay and support the Tibetans with all that he can.
